About Sodium Hydroxide
  • Commonly known as caustic soda.
  • Highly water soluble.
  • Strong base.
  • Produced via the electrolysis of brine.
  • Used in water treatment for pH neutralisation and heavy metal precipitation.
  • Leaves no residual colour.
  • Reduced sludge volumes produced compared to other pH neutralisation products.
  • Aqueous solutions 0 – 50% concentrations freeze at -10 to 10 °C.
  • Used as an industrial cleaning agent to clean process equipment, storage tanks, etc. It can dissolve grease, oils, fats and protein based deposits.
